Two New Arts Workshops for Gay and Bi Men
The days are getting shorter and the nights deliciously longer. It's time to try out new things - like making comics, telling stories through pictures. And time to take stock, too - to look at old pictures, take out old ticket stubs, delve into love letters from the past. Or create new ones. We've got two new workshops this term that are designed to inspire you and we hope they'll encourage you to experiment with new forms of expression.Personal Archives for Beginners
Map your own history by revisiting letters, photographs, stubs, journals and other memorabilia you've saved over the years. The workshop will encourage you to explore your lived history in stimulating, exciting and unusual ways. You'll learn how to work with collage, photos, oral testimonies, walking tours, scrapbooks and memory boxes and whatever it takes to create your own personal (or family and community) archive for posterity.

Comic Books for Beginners
Interest in comics is at an all-time high! Join the trend and learn how to draw comics and tell stories through practical exercises and hands-on work. You'll be introduced to figure drawing techniques, as well as to elements of story-telling, lettering, perspective and observational drawing. Work will be featured in our new Zine Project, and you'll get advice about ways of sharing your work (self-publishing, creating mini-comics, online opportunities, etc). of vocabulary, some grammar, no experience necessary.
