Same Sex Relationships : When Things Go Wrong PDF Print E-mail
Have you ever been in a same-sex relationship – either now or in the past? Researchers at Sunderland and Bristol Universities want you to take part in the first ever national survey about same sex relationships.  They want to know what happens if and when things go wrong.

We believe that people in same-sex relationships are entitled to the same support and services as heterosexuals when things go wrong.  This research aims to contribute to developing such services.  For more information and to take part go to this web-site.

There has been a growing concern to make services more relevant and accessible to those in same sex relationships who might need help or advice. However, this is being done without much evidence of what individuals experience. We believe that the best way forward is to ask you directly. The findings from the research will be used to inform public bodies and policy makers so that decisions and services better reflect the needs of same sex communities.

The questionnaire looks quite long but most of the questions just ask you to tick a box, or boxes, so it should only take about twenty minutes to complete. For your information we have included a sheet at the back that contains the names and addresses of organisations that offer advice and support.

Alternatively you can ring 0191 515 2218 or write to Jennifer Sewell at University of Sunderland, Benedict Building, St George’s Way, Sunderland, SR2 7BW and we will send you a hard copy.  Many thanks for your help with this important research.
