I have just came out and would like to know the risk of my friend giving me anal sex with his tongue. Also, what are the risk of receiving oral sex? Thanks." - Your first deals with anal-oral sex (often referred to as "rimming"). Rimming is not extremely high risk for HIV, but can be risky for a number of other conditions. Some of the skin to skin transmissible STD's (such as HPV/warts and herpes) can be transmitted through oral-anal contact. It is important that you and your partner refrain from such contact if/when there are ever warts or sores present until they clear up or are treated by a doctor. In addition, rimming is relatively high risk for some internal infections like Hepatitis A and Shigella, both of which can be contracted by ingesting a germ that can be present in human feces &/or in/on the anal area. Hepatitis A is easily preventable with a vaccine that, if you have not already been vaccinated, you can get from your doctor. Shigella's main symptom is diahrrea...so it's important that you and your partner not engage in rimming if you have been experiencing such symptoms in the past week or so.
Your second question involves oral sex. Oral sex is a risk, although a relatively low one, for all of the major STD's, including HIV. There are, however, ways to minimize the risk of performing oral sex that include using condoms (flavored and/or non-lubricated condoms are commercially available) or not allowign partners to ejaculate in your mouth.
Good luck. Yours in safety, Aunt Phyll
