Berlin has more then 150 gay bars, cafes and clubs. It is recommended that you get the "Fun-Map Berlin", which is usually more up-to-date than the gay guides.

CLUBS

Be aware of hard-core techno music! Many of the clubs in the city are mixed straight/gay/lesbian or have special gay days. Look out for flyers in the bars mentioned above to find the dates and most hip places. Some of the longer running gay & lesbian clubs are listed below.

There are a lot of gay/straight/mixed places serving the Tekkno-comunity. A must-see was the E-Werk (closed August 1997), an old electrical utility plant at Wilhelmstr. The Tresor (Leipziger Str/Wilhelmstr.) is still open.

SAUNAS

There are 4 gay saunas in Berlin, they are open 20 hours a day, entrance fee is about 20 DM (approx. £6.50 OR US$10) for a locker. 30 DM for a room (approx. £10.00 OR US$15), unlimited stay.

TAXI SERVICE - A standard ticket is valid within two neighbouring zones (AB or BC), a premium ticket within all zones.

SHORT-distance TARIFF

 (tariff bracket 1)  during travels, which are shorter than 2 km, the passenger can require the short-distance tariff with the Heranwinken   at the road (no order or entering at the stopping point).  The travel costs EUR 3.00 up to reaching 2 km and without fahrtunterbrechung   when desired the passenger, afterwards up to the value of EUR 6.00 the normal tariff in   the high-speed speed is caught up.  Then this tariff counts normally weiter.(siehe normal tariff)

NORMAL TARIFF

 (tariff bracket 2) applies for each day, 24h and both in the case of order travels and order travels:   The car switches 2.50 on when entering with EUR.  0 to 7 km:  EUR 1.53 per km starting from 7 km:  EUR 1.02 per km waiting period (also traffic-dependent) over 2 minutes:  EUR 24.54 per hour. 

Zuschlaege

EUR 1.50 in region taxes per person starting from the fifth person

EUR 1.00 for bulky luggage items , which do not fit into the trunk

EUR 0.50 with payment by transfer

Free of charge wheelchairs, buggy trunk luggage, are dogs among other things. Small animals.
