Image"I love a man in a uniform." - It's a tired cliché — but absolutely true! A guy walking down the street in ordinary duds won't make you look twice, but put him in a uniform and suddenly he's something special that catches your eye. What constitutes a uniform is pretty much up to you: Policemen, firemen, military drag... but what about a ski instructor or a professional baseball player? With as many uniforms as there are professions, and with so many to choose from — what is it about them that we find so appealing?
Why are uniforms such a turn-on?
Because the men who wear them are not ordinary; they're specialists, with jobs that only a few can do — using special tools and following a special set of rules that the rest of us aren't privy to.
It matter what the occupation is: A racecar driver in his helmet and fireproof suit can be just as much as a turn-on as a chef in his starched white apron and hat. Regardless, it's like there's a sign plastered across the front of him that says, "I'm not an ordinary guy, and if you spend time with me, you won't be ordinary either."

Is it the uniform or the job behind the uniform?
Of course the uniform is what we see, but there's a whole lot more going on inside our mind. The outfit by itself can make the man seem big and strong, but the real excitement comes from fantasizing about what he does while wearing that uniform. That's what makes it all so exciting, the implied actions that come with the territory — the authority of the policeman, the bravery of the fireman, the discipline of the soldier.

But the fantasy also includes our being a part of his life and involved in what is going on: Being swept up out of a 10-story window and carried away by a strong, silent fireman or being spun around the dance floor by an instructor encased in a tuxedo like it was a second skin.

Are some uniforms sexier than others?
Sure, some uniforms are sexier than others — but it's all about personal preference, isn't it? A fireman versus a policeman versus a soldier, for example. One person would say it's the soldier, hands down, but how would you choose between the three? You don't, because it's not a contest; it's what you find sexy that counts.
