Paul Boakye, (Drum Magazine, Boy with Beer) a dramatic writer and marketing expert who sat on the Power Commission has started up his own blog website. The award-winning author has long been one of the top creators of marketing and communications material targeting black and minority ethnic consumers in the UK, as well as writing radio, stage and screen plays for audiences of all ages. He is listed in the Routledge Companion to Contemporary Black British Culture as a leading writer and organiser, and is a prolific creator of works of prose, magazines, journalism, and drama. Boakye’s work in the media, marketing and communications field stem from a desire to contribute his skills and experience to causes that arouse his passion. Never shy in tackling controversial subjects as a writer including homosexual love, drug addiction, mental health issues, and AIDS, Paul rises above the temptation to self-censor with an uncompromising representation of subject and character. Winner of various writing and business awards, Paul Boakye is often asked to comment on politics and current affairs for both radio and TV news. What can he contribute to the goals of your organisation? Here are just a few words quoted from clients, supervisors, colleagues, and peers: "Mature and Sensitive," "Poised and Confident," "Creative," "Optimistic," "Determined," "Outstanding Motivator," "Experienced Problem Solver," "Resourceful and Innovative." Paul has developed outstanding written and verbal communications skills as well as strong, results-oriented, organisational and analytical abilities. As today's economic and competitive pressures place tighter constraints on business, marketing communications professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds provide greater value when budgets are tight. “Boakye certainly is a great operator. He has worked very successfully as an author, broadcaster and organiser and is the recipient of business and writing awards. He has a deep intellect, is extraordinarily versatile - puts his hand to design too and to work on the web, virtually anything - and in all my years in business I've met few others who have those qualities as well as great integrity and reliability. — Author Sylvester Stein, President ElectricWord Plc Also much strength in management and accounting.” The blog is a medium for Paul to talk about his work, to share views, and where you can find exclusive interviews. Take a second to peek around the site and check out some of the posts. Paul would like to find out what you think, so do make sure to leave a comment or stop off at Writers' Forum. http://paulboakye.net/blog
