Gay Times Gets Makeover PDF Print E-mail
ImageEUROPE’S BEST SELLING GLOSSY GAY MEN’S MAGAZINE, IS SET FOR A MAJOR RE-LAUNCH WITH ITS MARCH 2007 ISSUE

Under new editorship of Joseph Galliano, there are plenty of changes in store to content, design and most notably the mast-head.

The mast-head has been redesigned to GT, a concept that has been tested in focus groups of existing readers, subscribers, occasional readers and non-readers.

The new editor best describes a taste of the changes in-store “Embracing our nickname allows the cover to reflect the myriad of exciting changes inside the magazine. GT will take centre stage and define the agenda for the modern gay man. The title’s evolution represents one of the most exciting times in the magazine’s long, prestigious history.”

The March issue is aptly a future themed issue. New writers and contributors include Bruce La Bruce, Scot Capurro and new Style and Fashion editor Ian Brown.  This is likely to attract new readers to Gay Times, especially given recent speculation around the future of main rival Attitude.

The content and look plays to the existing strengths of the magazine to retain core readers and subscribers, with a more up-to-date look and flow of content to satisfy today’s media consumption trends.

A year long marketing campaign is planned to promote the changes to the mast-head, content, tone and look of the magazine and its web site.

Gay Times’ website will also be updated to match these changes and a major site re-launch will follow in Summer 2007. In the meantime we have teamed up with Blacksalt PR to create an exciting Gay History Timeline which can be seen at: http://www.gaytimes.co.uk/gt/timeline/
