Notes for Editors
UBO Care is an innovative, not for profit organisation run by UKBlackOut.com to raise much needed funds to help with the work of caring for youths left at risk by Homelessness, HIV/AIDS, Drug Abuse or Social Exclusion.
Our aim is: to improve the health and wellbeing of all youths, regardless of race , gender or sexual orientation.

Centrepoint works with homeless young people aged 16 to 25, providing services such as emergency and short stay accommodation and supported flats. It also runs specialist projects for care leavers, ex-offenders and young single mothers.

Living without a safe permanent home is only the beginning of the story for many of the young people that Centrepoint helps. Problems such as unemployment, addiction, family breakdown and physical and mental ill health often go hand in hand with homelessness.

Every night, Centrepoint provides more than 850 homeless young people with accommodation and specialist support.

Centrepoint services provide thefoundations from which young people can start to address some of the issues that led to them becoming homeless, and develop the skills they need for successful independent living. For further information, please visit www.centrepoint.org.uk
